When the past still follows you

Some wounds close and some keep opening. Old mistakes, a relationship that ended badly, the version of yourself you would rather nobody knew about — they follow you into rooms where nobody else can see them.

The writing collected here does not rush that. It says plainly that healing is slow, that scars stay, and that carrying a scar is not the same as carrying the wound. It also says, without softening it, that grace is not something you earn your way back to.

If shame is the part that has hold of you, the letter on grace is the one to read first. If it is grief and old pain, start with the bandage.

Each letter ends with a prayer written in plain words. You are welcome to pray it as it stands on the days when you cannot find your own.
