Pray First
“Ask and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.”
This week has been about starting my day in prayer. I usually rush into my day, and that's when I notice things begin to go wrong. When I stop and pray first, I am filled with peace and a clearer sense of direction. I am beginning to learn that prayer is not just about asking — it is about connection, trust, and the invitation to let God into everything that is in front of me. For me, this has been a game changer in my walk with God.
Journaling for the week
How does the way you start your day reveal your priorities? Are you inviting God in first, or only turning to him as things become a struggle? What would happen if you simply trusted God and invited him into your day — how would that change your attitude and approach to prayer each morning?
A guided prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to remember to put you first, not last, in my day. Help my heart to long for you. I trust that when you hear my prayers, that is when my full joy will be found. I thank you, Lord, for the relationship I can have with you because of your love for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
