Come, let us return to God
“Return to me, and I will return to you.”
This week I have been reminded that I have let distractions, fears and worries pull my heart away from God. I have realised, though, how close God is when I intentionally turn back to him. It is not about perfection — it is about the willingness of the heart. Even the smallest act of surrender, or a whispered prayer, can reopen my heart to him.
Journaling for the week
What would returning to God look like for you in a practical way? Write it down, even the small things — every step matters when we are finding our way back to him. Then pray, and sit quietly with what you've written.
A guided prayer
Heavenly Father, please forgive me for letting my thoughts, worries and distractions pull my heart away from you. Today I choose to realign my heart with yours. Thank you for your never-ending love, grace and mercy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
