Jehovah Jireh, My Provider

“And my God shall provide all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:19
✦ ✦ ✦

When I look back over my life, especially the last few years, I can clearly see God’s faithfulness. Time and time again, he has provided exactly what I needed, often before I even knew how to ask.

Journaling for the week

He knows my needs before I even say them, and his faithfulness never depends on my own. It is amazing how he continues providing, guiding, and caring for me.

A guided prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your provision in every area and need in my life. Help me to always remember that even when I don’t see a way, that you already have made a way, before any words have been spoken in prayer. Give me a grateful heart for all the ways you have already provided, both big and small. Thank you for being Jehovah Jireh, the God who sees and provides. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A faith action for the week

This week start thanking God for providing in an area that you have not seen an answer yet. If you know someone that is waiting for an answer, pray for them also.

After the letter

Don’t rush off — sit with it a moment.

A letter read together is different from a letter read alone. This is the quiet table where the letter keeps going.

Where did this find you?

If a line of this letter met you somewhere real, tell Alice. A single sentence is enough — she reads every reply herself.
